The Shenandoah Suite is an upbeat tribute to our beloved Shenandoah Valley! From the super comfy, airy bedroom to the amenity-rich living room and bath, and then out to the private balcony off the fully equipped kitchen, you may not want to leave this wonderful space.

Each item in The Shenandoah Suite was chosen to represent the Shenandoah Valley’s incomparable beauty and nostalgia while preserving the luxurious ease and amenities you expect from upscale accommodations. You won’t find another suite like it anywhere! Soak up the spectacular views from the window-filled bedroom or draw the room-darkening drapes and snuggle up in the luscious queen bed for when you want it cozily private. The inviting leather sofa in the living room pulls out to a queen size sleeper with memory foam mattress for your extra guest. The Shenandoah Suite bath has a corner shower and you’ll find our standard soft linens, blankets, pillows, and towels and special toiletry items will make your stay feel particularly luxurious! Top that all off with a kitchen ready for home cooked meals, a bottle of wine, and a basket of snacks, and you’re ready to settle in for the perfect stay. Start your day off with some breakfast and coffee out on the private balcony, then be sure to charge up your electric car in the parking lot around back before heading out for the day’s adventures!

Our location is walking distance from downtown antique stores, boutiques, restaurants, cafe’s, wine tasting rooms, museums, movie and performing arts theaters, etc.
If you don’t want to walk, the Staunton Downtown Trolley offers a fun way to explore the city of Staunton with no worries about parking, directions, or getting lost! It will pick you up right in front of Hotel 24 South (only one block from our house), and for only 25 cents per ride, you can ride all over our beautiful downtown district!
For those with cars, there is plenty of street parking around Staunton and a couple of public paid parking lots.
A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING THE SHENANDOAH SUITE:
We are a 100% Non-Smoking/Vaping and Pet Free property. Smoking/Vaping is not allowed anywhere on our property at all, inside or out. And out of consideration to our guests with pet allergies, we do not accept pets of any kind. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
It is also important to remember that this is a multi-unit building, not a single family home. There are 3 other beautifully renovated Airbnb units, plus a full time tenant in our lovely basement apartment. All guests will be asked to respect the space and be courteous of others. That being said, please understand that you may have neighbors above, below, or next to you visiting at the same time as you, and as with any multi-unit spaces, you may hear the comings and goings of other guests from time to time. It is also important to note that there will be a moderate amount of stairs to climb (just a few to the front porch and the one flight up to the second floor apartments).
Also, while there is always ample parking on our street, and even directly in front of our house, it is not reserved parking and you may find that you need to park a few houses farther down. This is common all over our city. We will have a parking pass waiting for you in your unit which you must use as the parking on our street is posted at 2hrs only without it. **PARKING PASSES MUST BE RETURNED UPON DEPARTURE OR YOUR SECURITY FEE WILL BE FORFEITED** as Staunton will not Re-Issue parking passes to us if lost. If you have a SMALL car and choose to park in the small parking lot we just added in the back of the house, after parking your car, you will need to walk up a slight incline back up to the front of the house to access your apartment.
Please be careful as the driveway is very narrow beside the house to the parking area. Unfortunately, because of the narrowness of the driveway and the limited turnaround space in our lot, no large vehicles will be able to park there. We recommend parking in front if possible. It is usually the most convenient option for our guests.
We want all guests to have the most ideal stay possible, so if you find that you need accommodations that allow for smoking or pets anywhere inside or outside of the property, if you prefer a single family home where there is no risk of hearing your neighbors from time to time, or if you are not comfortable with climbing stairs or walking a short distance from your car to the house, then our property may not be the best fit for you.
**Privacy Disclosure: For the safety of our guests and our staff Staunton stays has Ring monitoring cameras set up in TWO locations:
1. Ring camera is monitoring and capturing live video and audio the front door entrance.
2. Ring camera is monitoring and capturing live video and audio the back parking area.
From Staunton Stays front porch you can explore restaurants, shops, theater, music events, galleries, breweries, wine bars, and museums to name just a few of downtown Staunton’s exciting pastime options! Rather take a scenic drive, paddle a river, hike/bike the wilderness, or follow a historic trail? No problem. All that and much more is literally minutes from Staunton’s convenient location in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Also close to business centers and conference venues, Staunton Stays is a great lodging choice when visiting our region for business or pleasure.
Guests can access the laundry on lower level accessed from the OUTSIDE near rear parking area. An access code will be given with each booking. Note: Please bring your own laundry detergent as it is NOT provided.
