Drive: 32 min
Length of Hike: 4.4 miles
Type of Hike: Out & Back
Saint Marys Falls Trail is a 4.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Raphine, Virginia that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate.
The trail follows the water, crossing over the river several times so be sure to wear appropriate footwear. Some parts of the trail are no longer marked from being washed out by rain storms but you can typically see enough foot traffic to know where to go. If the trail goes to the river, look across where you’ll most likely find the trail continues.
The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Once on Saint Mary’s Road, you will drive until you come to a dead end and see a big kiosk that signals the beginning of the trailhead and provides some additional information about the area.
