Summary

The Bons Amis Suite means “The Good Friends Suite” in French. It has been lovingly furnished, decorated, and named in honor of owners Kati and Keith Hebert’s dear friends, Thierry and Sandrine and their family, who live in Tours, France. Thierry and Sandrine owned the first Airbnb that Kati and Keith ever stayed in! This suite is a comfortably elegant and serene private apartment on the upper level of this renovated two-story Victorian home.

Space

Decades of travel experiences have helped owners Kati and Keith think of every detail to make your stay in The Bons Amis Suite truly extraordinary! This stunning one-bedroom apartment is filled with European charm and comfort. In addition to the bedroom’s dreamy queen bed, there’s a memory foam pull out sofa in the living room for your extra guest. The rolling smart TV has on-demand streaming from Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube and can be easily relocated throughout the apartment to suit your viewing preferences. Lavish linens, blankets, pillows, and towels as well as soothing toiletry items, a fully equipped kitchen, bottle of wine, and assortment of snacks are all standard with each of our suites! For the comfort of ALL of our guests, we are a 100% Smoke and Pet Free property. Thank you for respecting our policy. Transit

Our location is walking distance from downtown antique stores, boutiques, restaurants, cafe’s, wine tasting rooms, museums, movie and performing arts theaters, etc. If you don't want to walk, the Staunton Downtown Trolley offers a fun way to explore the city of Staunton with no worries about parking, directions, or getting lost! It will pick you up right in front of Hotel 24 South (only one block from our house), and for only 25 cents per ride, you can ride all over our beautiful downtown district! For those with cars, there is plenty of street parking around Staunton and a couple of public paid parking lots.

Notes

A FEW IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING THE SHENANDOAH SUITE: We are a 100% Non-Smoking/Vaping and Pet Free property. Smoking/Vaping is not allowed anywhere on our property at all, inside or out. And out of consideration to our guests with pet allergies, we do not accept pets of any kind. We are sorry for any inconvenience. It is also important to remember that this is a multi-unit building, not a single family home. There are 4 other beautifully renovated Airbnb units. All guests will be asked to respect the space and be courteous of others. That being said, please understand that you may have neighbors above, below, or next to you visiting at the same time as you, and as with any multi-unit spaces, you may hear the comings and goings of other guests from time to time. It is also important to note that there will be a moderate amount of stairs to climb (just a few to the front porch and the one flight up to the second floor apartments). Also, while there is always ample parking on our street, and even directly in front of our house, it is not reserved parking and you may find that you need to park a few houses farther down. This is common all over our city. We will have a parking pass waiting for you in your unit which you must use as the parking on our street is posted at 2hrs only without it. **PARKING PASSES MUST BE RETURNED UPON DEPARTURE OR YOUR SECURITY FEE WILL BE FORFEITED** as Staunton will not Re-Issue parking passes to us if lost. If you have a SMALL car and choose to park in the small parking lot we just added in the back of the house, after parking your car, you will need to walk up a slight incline back up to the front of the house to access your apartment. Please be careful as the driveway is very narrow beside the house to the parking area. Unfortunately, because of the narrowness of the driveway and the limited turnaround space in our lot, no large vehicles will be able to park there. We recommend parking in front if possible. It is usually the most convenient option for our guests. We want all guests to have the most ideal stay possible, so if you find that you need accommodations that allow for smoking or pets anywhere inside or outside of the property, if you prefer a single family home where there is no risk of hearing your neighbors from time to time, or if you are not comfortable with climbing stairs or walking a short distance from your car to the house, then our property may not be the best fit for you. **Privacy Disclosure: For the safety of our guests and our staff Staunton stays has Ring monitoring cameras set up in TWO locations: 1. Ring camera is monitoring and capturing live video and audio the front door entrance. 2. Ring camera is monitoring and capturing live video and audio the back parking area.

Neighborhood

Staunton Stays is the perfect home base for exploring Staunton’s quaint culture and visiting Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and the world famous Blackfriars Playhouse, there are endless options for entertainment right out your front door! Jump in the car and head any direction, and you’ll find even more cultural, natural, and outdoor attractions to explore like Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, Monticello, natural caverns, hiking/biking trails, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. In town for business? No problem. We are close to all the business venues in the region.

Access

Guests can access the laundry on lower level accessed from the OUTSIDE near rear parking area. An access code will be given with each booking. Note: Please bring your own laundry detergent as it is NOT provided.
